The SOL is out even on a rainy days
-Johnny Sticks

Sugar melts in water, and here at DirtyStayOut.com we understand that an entire afternoon of pampering can be washed away by a few misplaced raindrops on your designer threads and coiffed hair. So to those of you sweeties, who decided to make it a movie night last Friday and were wondering if you missed out on anything good, you did. Free booze! SOL gave out a fantastic belated Memorial Day present: No cover charge, and open bar from 10-11. But aside from that, the crowd was amazing, so to those of you who stuck out the storm, you made the night beautiful.

All of the people were impressed, especially the out-of-towners, by the diversity of the crowd. Even in the most multiethnic city in human history, one still finds nightclubs can be segregated by race, age, or social status. However, at SOL, each of the tables reflected a different corner of this town, representing its true identity. People battled the weather and came from all over the place. Everyone from neighborhood locals to European vacationers came out to rock out. Folks from Philly to Florida could have been found anyplace in the club, on the dance floor, or next to the bar just chillin’.

Most of all, everyone got along beautifully. Happy Hour usually has that effect on people, but there was something greater than that in the air. SOL is naturally a stress-free place. The endless ceiling makes the club seem quasi-outdoors. The leggy bartenders are charming and attentive. The weather didn’t spoil the vibe at SOL. From the queue to the smoking lounge outside, people were just happy to be out on a Friday night in NYC.
