Whether it be the song selection that he plays, the way he rocs the mic and gets the crowd hype, or the skills that he possesses on the turntables, GetLive makes each night he goes out to rock a party a memorable one. Incorporating the influence of old school pioneering dj's, as well as those dj's who are holding it down right now, whether it be turntablist showcasing or just straight rocking the party, GetLive is all of that put into one.
"I want each person to go home at the end of the night remembering that impression I left them with when they were at my party…" He takes great pride into working according to this principle, at whatever club or venue he is at - all this, whether in front of 5 people, 500 people, or 5000 people, trying to leave the audience with that lasting impression that they won't forget. And if you've ever been to a party that GetLive's played at, you will definitely see how special this kid is. With his style ranging from Hip-hop to Rock and everything in between, GetLive plays the hottest songs on the streets, the timeless classics that everyone loves, and the club bangers that keep the crowd moving. There is no stopping his hunger to rock any crowd that he is in front of.
Since 1997, this young DJ has been advancing his skills in trying to become the best. Dj. GetLive always had a type of charisma when it came to the decks. He was discovered in 1998 by DJ Fat Fingaz, after hearing a Freestyle mixtape GetLive made when he was 15. (Not rap freestyles, but Freestyle of the late 1980s). Caught off guard by this remarkable feat, as well as his developed skills, FatFingaz welcomed GetLive into the DJ crew Introbass Productions. GetLive rocked his first crowd at the age of 16 at Club Speed, and this feat sums up his djing career to date - ahead of his time.
The 2001-2002 years were a breakthrough in GetLive's djing career. Hosting his own radio show on WSAM 105.3 FM University of Hartford College Radio, GetLive was able to embark on what he hopes to someday make as a living: Djing on the radio. He was also welcomed into a new threat to the djing scene, the Sound Assassins dj crew. In March 2002, GetLive as well as Fat Fingaz and fellow Assassin DJ Ease, became the resident djs of the renowned Remy Lounge. From Remy Lounge, GetLive found himself residing at many more NYC clubs such as Club NV, Etoile, China Club, B-52, and Bobs Lounge, in the span of one year. To top the year off, GetLive and Fat Fingaz hosted the 2002 Import Xpression Car Show Tour stopping off at seven cities throughout the East Coast that year. The following years, from 2003 into 2004, would keep this young dj busy. Alternating between his residencies at-the-time, as well as new ones, and traveling as the Tour DJ for the 2003 ImportXpression Tour, GetLive stayed hungry and earned a reputation, as well as more credentials, as being a very distinguished party rocker.
His goal of reaching the airwaves is still very much a driving force for success for DJ GetLive. He currently is a part of WRHU 88.7 FM Radio Hofstra University, where he hopes to learn more and more about the in's out's of the radio industry, and what it takes to get there. He strives to one day achieving that goal of making it to commercial radio, in hopes of catching his dream.
To the Future - GetLive continues to work and establish himself within the NYC club scene, as well as nationally and internationally, having done out of state gigs from California to Miami and overseas gigs in Germany and the Philippines. With more clubs, events, and appearances in store for GetLive, he will strive to move the crowd no matter what...
